Educated in the Netherlands with a degree in Mathematics, Raphael has spent the bulk of his career architecting and programming critical object -oriented or service-oriented and component based business systems, utilizing his extensive skills in Java, OOAD, SOA, CBD, CORBA and other leading-edge technologies.
Raphaël is a typical technical architect – a new breed of technologist/business person. Technical architects are abstract thinkers who are capable of analytical thought in two languages at the same time: business and technology. The goal of a technical architect is to develop the technical architecture for an enterprise or a part of the enterprise, which is derived from and justified in terms of the business requirements and organizational structure.
